MEXICO CITY and pyramids

Mexico city was so fun!! On Saturday first we went to the Pyramids and it was so awesome. It was a LOT of stairs to get to the top. and the view was spectacular. One top of the Sol pyramid there is a little crystal rock on the top in the center and supposedly if you touch it and the sun shines on you, you feel energized. It was really cool. It felt awesome to stand where the savior stood when he visited the americas and think about the pyramids- the sun, moon and stars and see all the Mormon church history from the Nephites.

After we climbed the Sun pyramid everyone was super tired and didnt wanna climb the Moon one, but Juan and I did so we were like oh we will just hurry and RUN up it. NOT a good idea. haha. Of course, clumsy me tripped up the freaking steps of the pyramid with a crowd of people watching me. Skinned my leg a little but hopped up and continued quickly to the top. It was worth it! lol.

We crawled through some tunnels haha.

all 6 of us- Juan Carlos, Sandy, Poncho, Eli, Me, Lazaro

The houses and buildings there are so colorful and cool. A friend from Ponchos mission let us stay at her house which was so nice and her little girls are adorable. It was fun.

People do the WEIRDEST things to earn money here. There are people trying to sell you stuff everywhere you go. And when you stop at a red light people try to sell you newspaper and wash your car for money. Even if you dont want it. haha

That night we went to a cultural event where the Prophet and his wife spoke and all the youth did awesome Mexican Cultural dances. It was soo much fun and really amazing. The stadium was full to the max and you can just feel how much love the Mexican people have for the prophet and how excited they are for the temple dedication. At the end all the girls sang sisters of zion and the guys sang Armies of Heleman, then we all sang Called to Serve. The spirit was so strong and we were so happy! I love the prophet and its cool to see how strong the members of our church are here. I LOVED all the dances.

We rode the metro and it is always jammed packed and a little scary. But we made it and nothing got stolen. Wahoo.
